Important information about your dog or cat registration

• Every cat or dog aged 3 months and over must be microchipped and registered with Council.

• Registration fees include a once off administration fee.

• Applications submitted after 10 October are entitled to a 50% reduction of the full year fee (excluding administration fee).

• A discount on registration fees is available to pet owners who desex their pet.
  - To be eligible for the reduced fee a desexing/sterilisation certificate is required. A letter from your vet will not be accepted.

• If you decide to desex your pet after you have registered them, you may apply for a reduced fee for the next registration period.
  - Refunds will be not provided.

• The pet registration period commences 10 April each year.
  - Annual renewal notices are sent in March for the next period.

Dog Registration
Dangerous, Menacing or Restricted Breeds cannot be registered on-line, for further information phone 03 8470 8888.

An owner of a dog must be at least 18 years old.
